Who We Are

I recognized early in my career that three core values define who I am, how I act, and therefore, what others can expect from me. The life-long pursuit of wisdom and knowledge so that I can become a more able business professional, educator, and human being. The imperative to help others improve in areas that are my strengths. And, the belief that if you love what you do, you are more likely to excel at what you do!

My career has focused on building strong brands and businesses. The perspective, and knowledge I’ve gained in a myriad of assignments throughout the years; through the knowledge others have kindly shared with me; and through my own study and personal reflection, has led me to conclude that building strong brands and businesses is about making brands strong inside out™.

It’s for this reason that I focus my energy, intellect and passion today on those areas that are foundational to strong brands and businesses. Purpose, Strategy, Culture and Organization. And on change management programs to speed the ROI of critical change initiatives in each of these areas. It is this focus that defines my work as a business professional. And it is this same focus that defines my passion as an educator and scholar of management

I have worked in senior and executive level marketing positions in the United States, Canada, and South Africa, with Nestle, The Walt Disney Company, Imax Ltd and Holt Renfrew. My consulting work has covered a broad cross-section of clients in financial services, wealth management, automotive, gaming entertainment, retailing (food and general merchandise), technology, recruiting, education, marketing communications and the Ministry of Health, Ontario Provincial Government.

I am a Course Director for the MBA Brand Management program at the Schulich School of Business, York University, in Toronto, Canada and Adjunct Faculty at the S P Jain School of Global Management based in Dubai, Singapore and Sydney, Australia, where I teach EMBA and MBA Brand Management programs. I am regularly recognized for “Teaching Excellence” by students taking my classes and am a two-time winner of the prestigious Seymour Schulich MBA Teaching Excellence Award.
